hi guys. I get this error when installing. How can I solve that? I had dual boot a while ago, but I uninstalled it, deleting the partition and deleting grup2win. Maybe something went wrong at that moment, right? Thanks in advance
To try, I just deleted the system reserved partition, and built it again from scratch
As soon as I get home I'll try it... The strange thing is that it worked for me 6 months ago.
Well, thank you very much for taking your time. I'll tell you later.

Hello again friend.
I tell you that it didn't work for me, I'll send you a screenshot of what I get when installing it.
I also have to tell you that it mounts the partition reserved for the system, as you can see in the image.
I have entered diskpart to delete the letter so that that partition does not appear
It seems that Grub2Win cannot find your /bootmgr file.
This is unusual because if the /bootmgr file is missing, Windows will not boot.
The file has to exist on one of your partitions.
Would you mind doing a search and let me know if you can find it?
And on which partition.
On BIOS systems the file is usually found on partition 1 of the boot disk.
Windows is usually on disk 0 partition 2
In your case, /bootmgr would normally be found on disk 0 partition 1.
Several hundred users have installed the new release with no reported problems.
It may be something unique to your particular system.
I will try to resolve this.
Please let me know.
Thanks again,
Dave

The grup issue, it occurred to me to install a Linux distro and thus obtain grup2.
Now I have this issue resolved.
So I don't think it will help me to install grup2win right now.
I thank you very much for the help provided.....if I need to install your program in the future, I will contact you...
Even so, I will keep an eye on this thread to see if the same problem that caused my colleague is resolved.

Hi Armando,
Please download, unzip and run this program.
Send the results to me.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/sourcecode.grub2win.p/files/GetSysInfo.zip/download
It will give me information about your system hardware and software configuration.
Then I can better help you.
Thanks,
Dave

Hola armando,
Acabo de subir una nueva actualización que creo solucionará este problema.
Descargue Grub2Win y vuelva a instalarlo.
La compilación debe ser 1655 o superior.
Por favor, déjame saber si esto funciona para ti.
Gracias,
dave
Hi Armando,
I just uploaded a new refresh that I believe will fix this problem.
Download Grub2Win and re-install it.
The build should be 1655 or higher.
Please let me know if this works for you.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi again Armando,
The update to /bootmgr was introduced in Grub2Win version 2.4.0.0 which came out March 10, 2024.
See the change log for details.
Thanks,

Hey Armando,
I'm working on this.
It seems that yours is the only system reporting this problem.
Over 1,000 others have updated without issues over the past week.
I'll privately send you some things to try later today or tomorrow.
Dave

Hi Armando,
Did you receive the instruction I sent you?
Dave
Well, I haven't seen anything. where have you sent it?
Hi Armando,
I sent this to you as a private message two days ago.
You didn't get it so here it is.
Please download, unzip and run this file.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/sourcecode.grub2win.p/files/GrubArmando.zip/download
It will probably still fail, but I need the new error codes, so send me another screenshot.
This file is specific to your machine, so please let me know when you have it so I can remove it from the server. It may not work for other folks.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi
im also facing the same issue as Armando Álvarez. i tried the main file and the above link. but error is same in both cases.
Hi,
Please send me a screenshot of the error.
I really need the error codes to debug this problem.
You no longer need the link to the special Armando download.
The latest normal Grub2Win download will display the codes properly.
Many thanks,
Dave
please find the screenshot attached
Hi Again,
Also, please send me your Grub2Win diagnostics.
Thanks again,
Dave
how to generate Grub2win diagnostics file
please find the Grub2win diagnostics file
Thanks Dave
The file you have sent through mail has worked for me.
