I'm using grub2win, when pressing reboot it powers off instead, ( laptop lid closed and internal display disconnected - using external monitor ) is there a way i can stop grub2win from detecting the lid closed or something :), i tried to edit some lines but nothing changes, so what can i do ?
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
When you press Reboot, Grub2Win simply issues the GNU Grub reboot command.
Here's how can confirm this.
Boot your machine
When the Grub2Win menu comes up press c on your keyboard
This should give you a command prompt.
At the command prompt, enter reboot
Check out your system behavior.
I expect the same thing will happen when you enter the GNU Grub reboot command.
This may be a bug in the GNU Grub version 2.06 code.
Please note that the GNU Grub group is currently testing GNU Grub version 2.12
I expect the new version to be released in July or August.
Your problem may be fixed in this new release.
Please let me know if this works for you.
Thanks,
Dave
