I want to use BlissOS on my Acer Switch. It's an convertible running Win10 32bit. I've installed Bliss in a seperate partition and Grub on my windowsdrive. Grub says that it was correctly set as default. After rebooting the Grubmenue appears. So far so good. But when I've used Win10 and restart the machine it boots directly to Win10. What can i do against this changes?
Regards Ludger

Hi Dave. I followed the instructions and activated "Force Unconditional Load of Grub2Win". In the mainwindow there is the confirmation in the green window. When I click on OK there appears this message:
BCDExec X:\windows\system32\bcedit.exe
The command is - bcdedit /delete

After restart the Grubmenue appeared and I was happy! But after a restart of Win the machine again overwrote the Grubwentry and booted to Win.
I don't know why, but after this I had the Idea to have a look in BIOS and I was suprised: There is a new entry in the bootorder for Grub! I moved it at the first place, saved the changes and "TATA": machine always boots to Grub!!!!!
Don't know, what happened but I'm happy!

My experience with older EFI firmware and particularly 32 bit machines is that they often do weird things like this. It is therefore not surprising that you had these issues.
I'm glad everything worked out well for you.
Thanks for the update,
Dave

Hi Ludger,
Please see this Grub2Win help topic for several things you can try.
file:///C:/grub2/winhelp/usermanual/Grub2Win%20User%20Manual.html?EFIFirmwareIssues.html
Since this is a 32 bit machine, your firmware is probably quite old.
You can also send me the Grub2Win diagnostics so that I can see your hardware configuration.
Click the blue "Diagnostics" button on the main Grub2Win screen.
Please let me know if this works for you.
Thanks,
Dave
