An Internet connection is required to install or run Grub2Win.
The connection is used to validate the authenticity of the Grub2Win code.
This is to prevent malware from fake Grub2Win code.
Malware was a big problem before validation. Now it is not.

I understand but this is a working machine, maybe you can help?

As I said. The Internet connection is absolutely required.
It is deeply embedded in the code and cannot be removed without a complete rewrite.
