I realize the many users still run older BIOS firmware and even 32 bit systems.
For these older systems, I created Grub2Win Legacy.
This allows Windows 7, Vista, Windows 8 and Windows XP to run Grub2Win.
Windows 10 systems with BIOS firmware can also run the legacy version.
Grub2Win Legacy will be updated when serious bugs are reported.
The main focus will be to enhance modern Windows 11 and 10 systems.
*******
This was done to address several problems:
The AutoIt compiler is used to create the Grub2Win executable modules.
The compiler no longer supports XP at all.
A number of system calls fail on older systems.
There are also major issues involved in supporting obsolete systems.
Testing is very complex and requires maintenance of many test systems.
This is extremely time consuming.
* This is a major release of Grub2Win *
Version 3.0.0.1
Grub2Win will now support Windows 11 and Windows 10 systems exclusively.
All systems must run 64 bit EFI firmware to be supported.
For these modern systems, the latest Grub2Win can be downloaded here:
