I thought I would start a thread to survey what barcode scanners people are using.
I personally am using a hacked cuecat. I bought it on ebay for around $10. I'm not a huge fan as I litterally have to scan the device over the barcode. I'm considering getting a different style with the laser line that comes out and gives you a nice little beep for feedback when a barcode is successfully read in.
Please post the barcode reader that you are using and your opinion of it!

I am using a Cipherlab optima 1000 CCD handheld serial scanner (picked up from ebay), it was a pain to find a driver, but after digging around, i found "xwedge" that works real nice with it and it simple to get working.

Hacked CueCat, works great!

The hacked (USB) cuecat works on both windows and linux, not sure about macs, I dont have one to test with. You can pick them up on ebay.
