The current stable release (3.2.0-5368) will not install under OSX 10.11 (El Capitan). The Installer reports "This package is incompatible with this version of OS X and may fail to install." Clicking "Install Anyway" quickly fails with "The installation failed"

Seems likely to be the more general problem (i.e. not just matlab.link) with the new System Integrity Protection seen in ticket #939.

We experienced the same issue at NRECA, and have found a successful workaround by manually installing the GridLAB-D binaries into local directories.

    /usr/local/share/gridlabd/gridlabd.htm
    /usr/local/share/gridlabd
    /usr/local/share/gridlabd/gridlabd.syn
    /usr/local/share/gridlabd/gridlabd.js
    /usr/local/share/gridlabd/gridlabd.jpg
    /usr/local/share/gridlabd/gridlabd.h
    /usr/local/share/gridlabd/gridlabd.css
    /usr/local/share/gridlabd/gridlabd.conf
    /usr/local/share/doc/gridlabd
    /usr/local/lib/gridlabd
    /usr/local/bin/gridlabd
    /usr/local/bin/gridlabd.bin
    /usr/local/include/gridlabd

The issue with the installer (3.2.0) might be that it is trying to install GridLAB-D directly into a unix system directory, which El Capitan's new System Integrity Protection prevents. It would be nice if Mac OS users could install via brew.
