Does recent version(s) of grepwin work on Vista?
A powerful and fast search tool using regular expressions

Hi,
Today updated from 1.6.17 to 1.7.1 just to find out that search
doesn't work any more.
(got search result: 0 (zero) files searhed, 0 found). I tried previous version 1.7.0. with same (zero) results.
Reverted back to 1.6.17 and everything's fine. (got many found results, as expected)
(Needless to say that all tests (searches) made on same folder and used same search-string with same settings).
So, wonder if recent version(s) work on Vista or there's something else I have to look at?
I have the same problem with Windows 7 on a VM (VMware).
On Windows 10 everything works fine.
03.04.2018:
I tried grepwin 1.7.1.720 and 1.6.11.633 on a VM with Windows 7 Professional with SP1.
Both behave as described: They search the specified file(s) but don’t show the expected results.
With grepwin 1.6.11.633,
- searching for Files, the column “Matches” displays “read error”.
- searching for Content, the text window remains blank.
What is required to make grepwin work on Windows 7 Pro with SP1?
Are there any older versions available?

Sorry, but Vista is not supported anymore. Even MS does not support Vista anymore and does not patch security issues anymore. So you should not use that OS anyway.
The same applies to Win7 without SP1.
