As far as I can tell, we did not change this and my version does display the italics correctly. If you can provide me with the operating system you are using, that would help. I will look into this further.

This bug is due to a change in the way Green handles fonts. The issue has been corrected and will be gone in the next release.
For the time being, there is a workaround to this:
Open Preferences and navigate to Green -> Colors and Fonts.
Click on "Change..." next to the Font item, click "OK" in the Font dialog.
Apply the setting.
This workaround only needs to be done once per workspace to display italics correctly.
