Awesome software. I just found this tonight, and I'm totally psyched.
For my work, I have a long running VNC session at my company. When I am on site, I connect to it via Windows RealVNC client. I run it full screen, and it has an option to use both (all) monitors when in full screen mode, if desired.
I have made some progress on this using _NET_WM_FULLSCREEN_MONITORS. It's just a hack right now. I'll try to submit a preliminary patch soon. I will probably need help with controlling it through preferences.

Hi Vic,
Awesome software. I just found this tonight, and I'm totally psyched.

Take a look at the documentation here, p. 16:
http://www.realvnc.com/products/personal/4.3/winvncviewer.pdf
The option is called "Full-screen mode uses all monitors".
My VNC session desktop size is 2560x1024, and this exactly matches my 2x1280x1024 setup both at work and at home.
I can work on this change myself, but I'd like to know if you think it's possible within GTK/Gnome.
Thanks,
-Jeff Ebert
