The weight parameter does not seem to have any affect
on the resulting text.

This has always been a problem in ImageMagick as well;
well, for at least the last two years.

Attached is sample perl script.

The annotation 'weight' is similar to 'stretch' in that it
is only used to help select a font from a a font family.
The 'weight' is part of the font specification. If there is
not a font available matching the specification, then the
closest available font is selected.
