Thanks for the bug report. Unfortunately, it does not shed much light on what is wrong.
I doubt if it is the PPC that is the problem. I am running it on a PPC, and never experience any crashes. Also, this is the first bug report for crashes of Version 1.0, so I doubt the problem is only the PPC processor. At best, it may be a contributing factor.
My first guess is that it is to do with the contents of your harddrive. Does the crash always occur at the same moment? If so, it would be very useful if you could establish the folder where the problem occurs. The dialog box should give you some idea of the folder that is being scanned when the crash occurs. Instead of scanning the root folder, you could try scanning only the folder that is causing the crash, iteratively moving down into the folder hierarchy to home into the problematic folder.

Not able to reproduce. Furthermore, PPC is not supported anymore.
