#119 Extra "choose what to scan" dialog pop-up

Hi,

What I do:

• open GP
• select and scan some folder
• press Rescan button
• rescan progress window appears
• close scanned results window with red gem button (macos)

What I get:

• "choose what to scan" windows pops up

What I expect to get:

• no new dialogs, just rescan progress window

I think there is some condition like "open choose folder dialog on closing last results window" and it could be improved by adding "and there is not scanning processes active".

Thanks for submitting this bug. I managed to reproduce it and agree that this is not you want/would expect. It should not be that hard to fix.

sick thanks, just downloaded this app and needed that feature :D

but when i close the dialog window it "minimizes" the app but i cant restore the window if i open the application again. to reopen it i must force close it first

Can you be more specific? It is not fully clear to me what you are doing, and what result you get.

First of all, which dialog to you close? The Welcome dialog (with the large GrandPerspective icon)?

Secondly, what do you see? When you close the Welcome dialog there are no visible windows. However, there should still be a menu bar at the top of the screen. From there, you can still initiate a scan (File -> Scan Folder... or File -> Scan Recent) but also load previously stored scan data (File -> Load Scan Data). The latter could be a reason why you closed the Welcome dialog. Or if you want, you can also close the app from there (GrandPerspective -> Quit GrandPerspective).
