Example map in attached file (raster from National Land Survey of Finland 6/2012) shows how much the map is squeezed in the north by GpsMid (the outline country border drawn from vector data from OSM by GpsMid).
GpsMid changes the stretch/squeeze of the map when panning the map in north/south direction.
