I'm glad that after patching gtk+extra you found that the gpsim eeprom window resize crash disappeared. I wonder how many other users are getting tripped up by this? I think I'll leave the bug open, but mark it as "Invalid". If gtk+extra ever gets fixed (it's been over a year since there was any CVS activity) then I'll close this bug.

Quite some time ago I prepared a pre-patched gtk+extra at http://gpsim.sourceforge.net/gpsimWin32/packages/gtk+extra-2.1.1-src-20060611.zip. This package includes also some WIN32 specific fixes - mostly (if not only) in Makefile.win32, which doesn't affect the *nix users. I can also re-pack it to the tar.bz2 format if it is needed...
