Good question.  I have some terminal-programs, but it has been years I used 
one. I use Suse Linux at the moment and I can use Debian Etch for tests. I 
have no idea, but maybe the needed commands are included in the bash (3.1.17)?

nautilus-open-terminal

Please could you give me a _syntax_ of any terminal-program I mentioned for a 
try? It would also be no problem to install another terminal-program, since I 
have root-rights.
