Hi Jean-Paul, Unless I'm mistaken, all GPS communication takes place in WGS-84, so it is not possible to transfer co-ordinates from other projections without first converting them to/from WGS-84. This would require the use of software such as proj - which has been previously mentioned - to perform this conversion between UTM and WGS84 in the sending and receiving process. And would also explain why GPSBabel doesn't perform any projection conversions since all communication is in WGS-84.
