blah...Sorry for the frogged up reply, I subscribed in digest mode, not sure how to preserve threading. Anyway, thanks for the reply! I feel like I am in grade school and got an A on a test :-D Yeah, I forgot to mention I am using Gentoo Linux on a Dell Latitude CS. I could not find any settings in the device that seemed relevant to making things downloadable, but then again, I still don't know what I'm doing yet ;-) I started poking around wiht the -D9 and see that lots of data comes in from the unit, and what I am guessing is track data is being discarded as "(UNKNOWN )". Should I continue poking around (I can modify code if needed) or is someone already familiar with this software interested in looking into this? Should I have just spammed my 58k debug output to the list? >Message: 2 >Date: Wed, 21 Jun 2006 00:23:21 -0500 >From: Robert Lipe <rob...@us...> >Subject: Re: [Gpsbabel-misc] Can't download tracks?(newbie to GPS) >To: Bill <ri...@me...> >Cc: gps...@li... >Message-ID: <20060621052321.GF4433@rjloud.localdomain> >Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii > > > >>I am brand new to GPS devices, so I hope I don't confuse things too much >> >> > >Your description is quite coherent.
