Folks capable of typing "./configure && make && ./testo " - and most importantly, resolving any local issues - aren't much on my radar. It's the ones where something esoteric fails becuase a binary built on FC4 doesn't work right on FC3 that wear me out. But I think we've iterated down to a solution for this case, pending Olaf's confirmation that shipping a stock zlib is within reach and me having the time to wire up configure to allow you to use an external one if you are building your own GPSBabel and capable of dealing with the issues. > in which people have to build anything at all by arranging for > volunteers to build binaries for common systems?
