Garmin's official protocol definition is very clear that no such packets exist so your unit is clearly broken. Contact their support group and RMA it until they ship you one that matches their specs. But if you're on current code, you shouldn't be seeing these anyway: (robertl) rjloud:/home/robertl/src/gpsbabel.virgin/jeeps $ grep -i undocumented *.c gpsapp.c: /* Stupid undocumented 60C packets */ gpsapp.c: * Undocumented A802 packets introduced on Vista 3.60 f/w. gpsapp.c: /* Stupid Garmin undocumented "A900" packets gpsapp.c: /* Stupid undocumented 60 D601 packets */ gpsapp.c: * Stupid, undocumented Vista 3.60 D802 packets Bitter rantings aside, you should find these are really over-enthusiastic warnings that are calling themselves errors. Does whatever GPS you're using actually work with GPSBabel? > I am planning to script this file, so that I can run something like "gpsup > any.gpx" I do exactly that and use that same name for at least some of my receivers. ;-) -- Support GPSBabel by helping to improve it or fund those that that have done so.
