I see that mps_find_icon_number_from_desc() is returning 8255 (geocache). However, MapSource 4.17 lists it as an "Exit" (for a test, i hard set to 8256 which results in a flag). I suspect they've moved things around (again). Does anyone know how Sigurd (his URL noted in comments in mapsource.c as source for lookup tables) is tearing the symbol numbers out of MapSource? I may try to e-mail him directly. If the info is in Mapsource binary itself, I'll write something to parse them out and create a new lookup table. Ian -----Original Message----- From: gps...@li... I'd be more than happy to There is the 'deficon' option, but it's not implemented for all output formats. Implementing it is usually pretty trivial; the only hard part is deciding when to let the code go with the icon types it can divine and when to override it. Glancing at mapsource.c, it looks like mps_find_icon_number_from_desc is the place to focus. > fish for the right index. Only within the last few days was the code added to read the icon types read from geo files. Since it was always "geocache" I just never saw the reason...
