I already answered this, but <name> is an optional tag in GPX. If you are using a reader that *requires* this tag, the maintainer that program needs to review the GPX specification at http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/1/#type_trkType If your question is actually "Can GPSBabel create <name> tags for tracks when none exist in the source data to help me use a GPX reader that's broken in this way?" see the title option of http://www.gpsbabel.org/htmldoc-1.4.4/filter_track.html On Tue, Jan 8, 2013 at 1:46 PM, Volker Kalkau <vol...@gm...>wrote: > ** > Hi, > if I convert a NMEA File to GPX and import the GPX-File into > this webside: http://www.wanderreitkarte.de/ (based on > http://www.openstreetmap.org/) > it is not working because the name tag is missing in GPX file: > > <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> > <gpx > version="1.0" > creator="GPSBabel - http://www.gpsbabel.org" > xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" > xmlns="http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/0" > xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/0 > http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/0/gpx.xsd"> > <time>2013-01-08T11:49:01Z</time> > <bounds minlat="48.418853333" minlon="9.262410000" maxlat="48.423538333" > maxlon="9.269238333"/> > <trk> > *<name>123</name> > *<trkseg> > <trkpt lat="48.421668333" lon="9.262945000"> > <ele>859.250000</ele> > <time>2013-01-06T14:07:45.477Z</time> > <course>138.259995</course> > <speed>0.828256</speed> > <fix>3d</fix> > <sat>5</sat> > <hdop>1.400000</hdop> > </trkpt> > ... > > is it possible to fix this problem soon? > > Mit freundlichen Grüßen > Volker Kalkau > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Master SQL Server Development, Administration, T-SQL, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS > and more.
