yeah, but sadly, I don't believe there is any "open" gps manufacturer,
or linux-friendly.

On mtkbabel, it was mainly adding a model ID and forcing holux data

I give a quick try to BT747 and with stable, it does not seem to work.
Unstable can connect, and display some gps info lat/long/fw with only
unrecognized id.
