Depressing.  It would be very good to add a gpx extension

  <gpxx:Speed units="km/h">100</gpxx:Speed>

would it not?

Do you support the <gpxx:Proximity> extension?  (I note to my sorrow
that although the last code change is 7 hours old, garmin_gpi.xml has
not changed in 6 months...)

It won't happen.  Simon seems very reluctant to release any code.
