BTW I have tried many Sat tracking programs and gpredict is the best by far I love it Only thing lacking now is a LAT LON stream from an object so I can do APRS object paints !! Something like UDP ISS,-33.34334,153.003993 ISS,-33.34334,153.003993 ISS,-33.34334,153.003993 ISS,-33.34334,153.003993 ISS,-33.34334,153.003993 or even add elev and azim ISS,-33.34334,153.003993,34,123 ISS,-33.34334,153.003993,34,124 ISS,-33.34334,153.003993,34,125 ISS,-33.34334,153.003993,34,126 ISS,-33.34334,153.003993,34,127 - Andrew - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andrew Rich" <vk...@te...> To: "Charles Suprin" <ham...@gm...> Cc: <gpr...@li...> Sent: Sunday, March 27, 2011 2:33 AM Subject: Re: [Gpredict-discussion] ISS trail > Charles > > I will try and describe it - bear with me > > What I am seeing is that an orbit is shown in full > > The object on the screen traces out the orbit. > > The next orbit is only drawn when the object hits the "end" of the tail of > the currently displayed orbit. > > The orbit line does not "move" in time with the object. > > Can you code it so that the orbit line always has the object in the middle > of the orbit line ? > > This is how it is now in map view > > ------O----------------------------------------- > > ----------------O------------------------------- > > -----------------------------------O------------ > > --------------------------------------------O--- > > Then a new orbit is drawn. > > What I would like is > > -------------------O---------------------------- > > > -------------------O---------------------------- > > > > -------------------O---------------------------- > > > See how the orbit line progresses forward with the object ? > > Go forward and back wards in real time with the object > > Make the orbit line "snake" across with the object as it moves > > I guess the code would be > > 1.
