#986 Outlook running in background

A few weeks ago, my Outlook was updated to Outlook 365 MSO (Version 2307 Build 16.0.16626.20086) 64-bit. Around that time, I started having an issue when, after turning on my PC, Outlook will not open. Using Task Manager, I see it is running in the background and if I end task, it will open.

I am still going back and forth with Microsoft but I am wondering - would GSM cause that process to run at startup or shortly thereafter?

Update: After several days of troubleshooting with Microsoft and no luck, I disable GSM from startup and the issue goes away, so it seems that GSM is causing an Outlook process to run in the background and then it gets stuck in "Outlook is closing" but it never does.
