#846 Error Loading Google Contacts. Cannot connect to Google. Error accessing feed

I was using GO Contact Sync Mod fine for a few weeks. I noticed there were some contacts without the correct information and Google was wanting to merge them, so I deleted all my contacts in Google and performed another "OutlookToGoogleOnlySync." I had done this before without any issue. This time, however, I got the error:

Cannot connect to Google, please check for available internet connection and proxy settings if applicable: Error Loading Google Contacts. Cannot connect to Google.
Please ensure you are connected to the internet. If you are behind a proxy, change your proxy configuration!
Error accessing feed

There is no proxy on the Internet connection of my primary location and the Internet has had no other issues. I've also tried from other locations and still get the same error. I tried "Revoke Authentication" and re-authorized GCSM to my Google account, but it didn't help.

I noticed that ticket #1291 was someone with the same error, but he simply followed up the next day saying it started working again but with no explanation as to why. It has been failing for me for a couple of weeks.

Encountered the exactly same issue here. Same steps performed as described above. Same issue. Even uninstalled the latest version and installed the oldest version I could find. Same. This ticket was opened on July 22. It has been 3 weeks. Please correct the issue ASAP. Appreciated.

I gave up waiting on GO Contact Sync Mod support and purchased gSyncit.

I have the same problem after deleting my google account contacts as Jim Reid has described: at this moment I have exported my Outlook contacts to a .csv file, I've imported them into google and now I'm performing a first sync (Merge promt, still working), and it seems to be working...

I encountered exact same error after deleting all my Google contacts. (Was rectifying an issue created by my mobile phone duplicating contacts.)

I used the same fix as josepgv, exporting my contacts from Outlook and importing them to Google. Go Contacts Sync Mod then correctly synced. Looks like an obscure bug when all contacts are deleted.
1. I did try revoking and reauthorizing. No effect.
2. Part of me wonders if I shouldn't have deleted the Go Contact Sync mod profile and recreated it, in case it really expected contacts there.
3. Also tried to "reset matches," but that caused an application failure. (Attached.)

The code mentioned in your exception has changed meanwhile.

I am having the same error message only when doing contacts. If I only do Calendar there is no issue. Version, 4.25 OR 4.1.28 same
