#1371 Outlook does not sync to Google and vice versa

since bout a week, syncing doesn't work anymore. Win 10.

uninstalled GCSM, reinstalled.
Disconnected from Google Account, then reconnected.

No error messages

GCSM seems to work normally, until all 2,000 contacts (was wondering already about this straight number, I have actually 1,999 Outlook contacts as of now) are "synced". Then GCSM closes (which it never did in the past) and new Outlook contacts are not synced into Google and vice versa.
