does anyone know enought about banks iv to make a constructor that makes letters?
I havent been able to figure it out
Hi Dylan,
I made the Banks examples in Golly, so I can help.
Read his PhD thesis:
http://www.bottomlayer.com/bottom/banks/banks_commentary.htm
And watch the constructor example.
There's a script too - Python/make-Banks-IV-constructor.py
The only input to the constructor are the signals coming along the two data
lines. It's all about the arrival times of those signals.

Thanks, but i cant seem to get golly to find my python27.dll file. If you have any tips that would be great
Yes, this is often a problem. Make sure that if Golly is 32-bit that Python
is too, or both 64-bit.
We should probably try and detect this specific thing in order to tell the
user.

64-bit versions of Golly for Windows and Linux are here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/golly/files/golly/golly-3.2/
The Mac version is 64-bit.
Python 2.7.15 downloads are here:
https://www.python.org/downloads/release/python-2715/
The bottom link looks to be for the 32-bit Windows version. The link above it is for the 64-bit version.

Please provide a specific example.
