The goal of GNU for VMS (GNV) is to support the porting Open Source software to VMS with primary focus on infrastructure to make porting to VMS easier.

Another SourceForge Project, VMS-Ports is intended to aid in the understanding of mechanisms to assist in using GNV and other tools to actually accomplish the porting process. There are also links to existing ports available on the VMS-Ports project pages.
