As per a discussion on TESTNET, it has come to our
attention that a 'Vacation' flag for users should be
created. This will NOT be a user-settable flag. Only *
admins will be able to set this flag on a user. If a user
has this flag, the autokill script will not delete this user
when it runs. This will allow a user that has been gone
for a long time purposely to not be deleted. At the end of
the time set in the 'Vacation' flag, the flag will be
dropped from the user automatically. Also, the flag will
need to drop if the user logs back in before the time
specified. Any other comments?

I suggest not to put an expiry on vacation, in case someone
is gone away for a longer amount of time then planned
(imagine the user being kidnapped by the taliban:P)

This should be moved to the RFE section.

Vacation flag is obsolete, there is a NOPURGE option for
users, and if a couple of persons maintain the list of vacated
users they could easily unset the nopurge for that person.
    Why another flag ?

This has not been fixed. If this feature is not wanted, please mark it as such, but please do not mark an unfixed RFE as fixed.

yes apologies, i confused it with the vacation channel flag (as opposed to user flag).
nopurge can be used, but doesn't expire. i'll leave it open pending a potential expiring vacation flag after discussions with cservice.

I have moved it to 'feature requests' however.
