Is STATS_min_y documented?

I am using gnuplot 5.2 patchlevel 6.

After reading the documentation, I thought that doing

stats file u 1:2

min and max of the second collumn would be in set in STATS_min and STATS_max. However, these variables don't exist. They appear as STATS_min_y and STATS_max_y. STATS_min and STATS_max only appear if using

stats file u 2

I didn't find STATS_min_y and STATS_max_y documented anywhere. Is that unintended?

OK, I found that it is correctly documented.

If two columns are analysed jointly by a single stats command, the suffix
"_x" or "_y" is appended to each variable name.
