The windows installer does not, when updating/overwriting an old installation, clear out the old start menu entries, but creates a new, additional set of links. See screenshot.
I guess it would be nice to have a checkbox in the installer to optionally keep them, in case a user has several parallel installations and perhaps manually adjusted the naming.
Of course one can clear up the start menu by hand, but on newer windows versions, it's no longer obvious where to do that. ;)
Weird. Here, there are no duplicates, but the menu items are not updated properly having installed 6.0.3 over 6.0.2.
