#2587 XDG in 5.4.6 needs wxGTK>=3
Slackware64-14.2 with wxGTK-2.8.12
My initial build of gnuplot-5.4.6 failed at wxt_gui.cpp because my version of wxGTK does not seem to support XDG. This also happened in 5.5 when XDG support was first introduced, but
was later fixed . The fix, still in 6.0 and 6.1, is to sandwich the line '#include "xdg.h" ' near line
120 in wxt_gui.cpp between '#if (wxMAJOR_VERSION >= 3)' and '#endif'. After making
this change, the build was normal and all seems to work as expected.
Indeed. Thanks. Showing yet again that no back-port is so simple as to avoid problems.
So maybe there will be a 5.4.7 after all. I had been thinking this could be the last in the series because it would be bug-free. Hah! Only out for days and already two known problems.
