Version 5.4.3 (and a.o. 5.4.2), OS/2

Can ASSOCFILTER=*.PLT; be appended to the WPS setup string of makeobjects.cmd?

This will match the setup of the Windows version, which associates *.PLT files with gnuplot.

The informal file extension PLT still is available for OS/2. It's unclaimed by any other common installer.

If the full setup string becopmes too long, then use SysSetObjectData later to set additional settings. Optionally, anything SET in STARTGP.CMD can also be moved to WPS setup strings ("SET ...=..."), and as requested earlier the release for OS/2 can be simplified by statically linking without e.g. shipping yet another JPEG.DLL.

Thanks for the feature-request. In version 5.4.5, gnuplot is now associated with .plt files.

Concerning the static link: not all the libraries required are currently available in a static version on my system, so it would require a bit of effort. We will be switching to gcc9 and the library ecosystem available via rpm in the next version, though. At that point dynamic linking would be preferred again.
