When using logscale, the <incr> of set xtics is supposed to be a factor, but with 5.2 the <incr> is treated as being additive:</incr></incr>

set logscale
set xrange [1:10000]
set xtics 100
plot 1/x

Yes. That was previously reported as Bug #1971

Fixed in CVS and will be part of 5.2.1
