Greetings all -- (I sent a similar note to Markus Griessnig, but not sure if I had the right email... -- I would greatly appreciate any insight others might have!) I've recently come upon KeyringEditor, and it looks clean and useful! However, I would *really* like the option to edit passwords in spreadsheet form, and then *import* a .csv into KeyringEditor, for sync with my palm. Since many of my passwords are in an encrypted Excel sheet on my desktop, this would be very handy. Has anyone found a way to (effectively) import csv data? Are there any plans for such a feature that you've heard of? Some advantages I see for Keyring + KeyringEditor with csv-import: --------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Affords flexibility for initial data entry and ongoing data maintenance 2. Allows others (who don't have KeyringEditor) to contribute/maintain the password list via a spreadsheet program. Those updates could then be simply be imported into KeyringEditor and sync'd w/ the palm. 3. Circumvents any need for use of non-secure (eg. outlook) conduits. Many password programs use Memo Pad import/export, but this is not secure. Seems to me this would make KeyringEditor *very* versatile. Seconds, anyone? Other thoughts? Thanks in advance! --Will |
