This is future work, however, we should already keep this in mind.

The main problem is our license (GPL).  We would need to add a 
special exception as described under 

http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#WritingFSWithNFLibs

As this library cost nothing for both developer and end-user I don't 
have a problem to allow this. 

Martin Pool needs to agree with this license change, too.
