I don't know anthing about the xtra xtra pro card.  Probably they 
left out the encryption routines from the ROM image.

You can try the 1.2-pre1 prerelease, which comes with the pilotSSLeay 
encryption routines.  So this version works even if you don't have 
encryption in your OS.  Note that this is a prerelease so you should 
especially make sure you have a working backup.
