We are very proud to annonce we have packets for Ubuntu 9.10, 10.04 and 10.10 (alpha) based on current CVS version (> 0.9rc4) http://aramis.obspm.fr/~coulais/IDL_et_GDL/Ubuntu/Packaging-Download_pageEN.html
current version does not contain netCDF and HDF5 but should be available very soon
Please test and give us feed back in order to improve it.
*pro files hould be around, in /usr/share/gnudatalanguage/lib (you must put this dir. in your GDL_PATH)
