Hello

i use with another developer the latest eclipse luna with GNU ARM GCC Plugin to develop for Cortex-M0 (nrf51).

The debugging is working but i have questions about that part.

Debug Configuration -> "Main" Panel
How to generalize the Project and C/C++ Application setting. For every project i have the same settings, only the Project and C/C++ settings entry is a fixed text.
I like to right klick on an .elf file and start debugging without defining a new debug configuration for that elf file.
In the Executable setting variables can be used: ${jlink_path}/${jlink_gdbserver}
Is it possible to use some variables in the Project and C/++ settings?
eg.
Project: ${ProjektName}
C/C11 Application: ${SelectedBuildPath}/${SelectedBuildFile}

Is there another trick?

    I like to right klick on an .elf file and start debugging without defining a new debug configuration for that elf file.

    the current Eclipse version always requires a launcher config for debug sessions.

    the procedure is to right click on the elf and create this launcher, configure it properly, and then start he debug session.

    Is it possible to use some variables in the Project and C/++ settings?

    I guess it should be.

    just that using something like ${ProjectName} is not possible, since this requires a 'project' object, which can be identified... by name.
