I don't know that anyone has booted from an image file yet.  There are
Darwin developers who regularly reconstruct the bootable installer on
their hard drives.  Try one of the following lists.

As a general rule, if the CD doesn't boot, then your system is not
supported.  It may be that a video card upgrade will solve the problem.
What happens exactly when you try to boot the CD?
