The keyboard binding for ALT+F in the text-editing area
conflicts with the shortcut for the File menu. If yo
press ALT+F the cursor jumps to the end of the next
word. The expected behavior would be to open the File menu.

One or the other key binding ought to be changed.

The workaround for getting mouseless access to the file
menu is to press: ALT+E, Left-arrow

Here is one other keyboard shortcuts that fail to work when
the focus is on the text area

Ctrl+W Does not close the current document, instead it
    deletes the previous word

I have tested every other keyboard shortcut, and the rest
    seem to work.

I am not able to access any keyboard shortcuts in the file
menu I do not know if that is related to the above problem
but it may be. I noticed it most when trying to save a
document and cntl+s produced no action whereas the mouse did.
