Hi,
I am using Xiphos 3.1.5. I indexed all my English and Chinese bibles through Module Manager. Searching in English bible is fine but when I search words with a Chinese bible, the search result in Optimized ("Lucene") is much less than Multi Word in Advanced Search. I realized that the Lucene result is only occurred when there is space before and punctuation after the words. It appears that if there is another character before and/or after the search word is omitted from Lucene search. BTW, chinese language don't use space between words like English. I also tried in JSword and their indexing is fine. Thanks for your help,

i asked about this in sword-devel. i am told that the clucene interface has a number of text analyzers, among which are a couple suited to chinese...but the Sword library interface to search index construction does not provide for access to that part of clucene. i'm sorry to say that there is nothing we can do about this for the time being. it is possible that the Sword library will gain better capability here, but until such time, we are stuck. regrets.
