Unfilled squares are white
Pre-filled squares are gray with black numbers
The selected square is solid black and when I enter a number I can't see it until I have moved the selected square unless I enter an invalid number in which case it is red.
I can get it so that I can see it by enabling debug in "number_box.py" but it is pretty impossible to do a puzzle with so many colours around the place. Messing with the debug colour line I can alter it but I can't get it sensible. I just want to make the selected square any colour other than black or bmake it a black box round the outside of the square with white in the centre.
I am not a python programmer at all so the files read like a dictionary in a foreign language to me.

Should have said also that the highlighter fills one box, row and column with black.
