Installing it messes the whole filesystem

I've installed Gnome Gmail on my brand new Ubuntu Lucid. After that, everything seems to be right, until I reboot/shutdown. After turning on again, I'm in a situation where the filesystem has errors and I have to do a fsck. Even after that, the filesystem continues being broken, and there's nothing I can do but reinstall.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience with Lucid, but it is unlikely that Gnome Gmail is the culprit. It is just a Python script, and has little interaction with the hard disk. I've tested with the latest distributions with no problem, and there have been no other problem reports along this line.
Good luck with the reinstall. This ticket will stay open in case someone else encounters a similar problem.
