    So I saw a video on a tutorial for Gnaural that wasn't by the creators, and it seemed to make more sense. If I wanted a desired frequency for my brain, would I make the difference between the "Beat Frequency" and the "Base Frequency" that frequency?

    Example: If I wanted 12hz, would I make the beat frequency 212hz and the base frequency 200hz? (60,40; 122,102; etc.)

      yes that is the concept, one ear hears 212, the other hears 200, the brain subtracts 1 from the other and gets 12, which you ears can not hear it is below their range. Most humans hear from around 30 HZ girls and young boys and the odd person, can hear more but that is pretty close to the range limit.

      Interestingly an am radio does something similar. A wave of 455 HZ is made and impressed with a track(voice music etc) it is impressed on a carrier wave. two tank circuits in the reciever removve the carrier and the 455 (I believe that is the freq, and the part is the IF Ossilator and filters.

      I need to revisit that as I am very rusty on radio theory.

      hope it is helpful

        So if I want 12hz, the beat frequency wouldn't be 12hz in the program?

          No I do not know why it matter what you call them (except) the program has "bade freq's then you enter a different one to pair it to that pair subtracted yields the "beat". What is crazy is we do not hear it otherwise. Our brain can "hear it" soo feed in 100 and 120 and the brain hears all and a third it hears 20. 20 is below your mechanical bodies range to hear.

          All things vibrate, at various frequencies Your brain is no different, but it does so differenty at different times during activities. If your brain say in Alpha hums along at 3 hz then if you induce a 3 hertz binaural beat, you brain will try to be at that state. Now w/o the tones you need to have achieved a given mental state, this bypasses it, in theory. So you must be sure of effect as you do not want to be driving around in your car, semi tractor trailer or B1 bomber while listening to something meant to be induced at sleep.

          All this theory sounds good, but real? who knows, only a greater mind then mine.

          go slow, evrything you feel will be subjective at best. If you meditate this culd be more helpful , if you practice NLP or Auto hypnosis , again this could be helpful. Or, it could be bad for you or more likely it could be useless. Either because it just doesn't work, (for you or in general) or you have not found a set of freqs that work for you, or the desired effect.

          enjoy, play safe, always have a shepard with you if you do intense things, (and a paid up insurence policy)

          ciao

            I'm not sure if you're understanding what I'm saying. If I want the effect of, let's say, "50hz", then in the part labeled "Beat Frequency," would I put 50 and the "Base Frequency" I can put anything;
            OR
            would I put 150 in "Beat Frequency" and 100 in "Base Frequency" to get the desired effect of 50hz?

              As I understand it you put in 100 and 150. As I undertand it, if you can hear it you do not need to make it with a bin beat. but I am not as adept as most here at cnstructing beats and even why they are done  one way and not another.

              Plain Vanilla meditation works nicely, but this looks like a nice addendum to it.

              It would seem from another post I am doing it wrong , apparently if you want 50 hz you use do and another freq that is not unpleasant.

              see the post after my blunder!

    Your question:

    Example: If I wanted 12hz, would I make the beat frequency 212hz
    and the base frequency 200hz? (60,40; 122,102; etc.)

    No. You'd make the Beat Frequency 12hz and the Base Frequency to whatever you want.

    In other words, the only parameter you need to set to achieve 12hz is the Beat Frequency. So long as the Base Frequency is in a comfortably audible range (say 100hz to 400hz), the 12hz Beat Frequency can be effectively imposed over the Base Frequency. You don't need to do any math to get the left and right channels to do the proper Beat Frequency, simply set the Beat Frequency itself.

    Can you tell me what is the difference with Isochronic Pulses and Alt Isochronic Pulses?

    • gnaural

      gnaural - 2014-01-20

      Isochronic pulses make sound on both left and right at the same time, wheras Isochronic alternates between right and left.

        Thanks,
        Can you advice which one are the best pulses; Isochronic, Alt Isochronic or Binaural.
        I'am listening gamma waves;
        Beat freq. 41 hz
        Base freq. 120 hz
        and would like to have the best results in as much shorter time possible!?
