This release has major feature enhancements mainly in the audio area.
See the file html/news.html in the sourcetree for new features (there are
a lot).
From my point of view, this is ready to become gmerlin-0.1.3. If you encounter
undocumented serious bugs or compilation errors, please let me know. See the file
html/todo.html for currently known bugs.
If everything works ok for you, a small message would also be nice.
Things which need intensive testing are:
- CDDB support: The local cddb database is shared with grip. Please check, if
all your CDs are recognized correctly and if all data are written correctly
to $HOME/.cddb. Don't blame me, if your grip database is destroyed by
gmerlin (it shouldn't happen, but who knows?). Instead, report any strange
things.
- New mp3 plugin: This was tested with lots of mp3 files. Mp3s with ID3V2 tags
crashed the old mpeg plugin, but they should work now. If you have any mp3s,
which are played correctly by mpg123 and/or xmms but not by gmerlin, please
let me know.
