GMediaConverter / News: Recent posts

Well, I just planning in my head some ideas to start coding on next week. Some of them I already defined:
- gmecon will use pre-defined text files (or xml) with commands statement, something like qdvdauthor does. So with this feature, we can use mplayer, transcoder, ffmpeg, etc... converters/extractors command-lines;
- gui will be very simple, try to be the easiest as it can. In this first version I will do something based in tabs...
- I really would love if someone port transcode to windows (maybe with cygwin), so windows version of gmecon will be very powerfull (I already got ffmpeg, mplayer and mencoder for windows)

Today I'm starting with the plans for this project. It is a GUI multimedia converter, so I will start with video and audio format converting and extracting (demuxing audio and video). User will choose his preferred codecpack, but firstly gmecon will support only mplayer and ffmpeg.
