I'm trying to simulate a plasma beam using fire particles.
I don't know if this is right or not but particles are visible only in places without mesh.
There is a reason about that ?
Hi you can simply use a TGLLine or TGLCylinder with a semi-transparent material and place to the bottom (where hit your engraved motif) the particles to simulate the sparks

Works but is terribly slow so I guess to remove this feature in the management.
Overall the Cadence timer stops every time I click in some menu...
I never used animations with Cadencer so was a surprise the behaviour of that.
I don't figure out how games can do so many graphical effects and keep them always flow in time.

I don't know if I've mistake what do you suggested but result is same.
When in background there is an object paricles disappears.
In this video I've used Cosmos4D to fast the tries:
